CAPTION: "She jetted to her car shortly before dawn grasping her forearms. Carlie pressed the key alarm to unlock her Honda Accord Coupe. She placed her knee on the driver’s seat to grab her cell phone from the charger. Chills draped her body when a suffocating spirit invaded her space. As she glimpsed over her right shoulder, a six foot shadow reached in her direction. “Slap!” she was hit with an open hand. “No!” she screamed as her head hit the steering wheel. Not wasting any time, he grabbed hold of her wavy ponytail. Fearfully quiet, she kicked to escape his grip. His erratic behavior escalated when he noticed her look of sheer terror.

CAPTION: "Many have called Treasure E. Blue the reincarnated Donald Goines. This prolific author without doubt is one of the most shocking and controversial writers that we have seen in decades.Blue?s background is as almost as compelling as his mouth-dropping debut novel entitled ?Harlem Girl Lost?.Using the streets as a means of survival, he soon found himself involved with some of Harlem?s most notorious elements.  Retiring form the game at the tender age of sixteen, Blue managed to become one of the youngest people to receive his G.E.D. in New York State.Joining the military at seventeen, he developed a voracious appetite for books going on to read well over 2000 novels. After serving his country honorably, he joined the New York City Fire Department and is presently working as a Supervising Fire Inspector in the Bronx.  Blue is a father of 4 and won praise for his screen writing skills. He is also an active member of the American Studies Association.Blue has an uncanny way of not only telling a story, he makes you feel it emotionally as well.

Just as writing is one of her passions, so are people.  Having been through many relationships both good and bad, in both love relationships with men and friendships with women, Letitia has experienced first hand how relationships can and do sometimes go wrong.  Her first novel, “Sins of the Past” delivers clear and concise accounts of the destruction relationships endure when skeletal bones, lies and deceit, begin tumbling out of the closet as she explores the devastating affects post traumatic life experiences have on the mind when those you hold nearest and dearest to you, those who’ve been entrusted with your emotional and physical well being betray you in the vilest manner imaginable.Currently, Letitia is working on her second novel, Enduring Hardships, and resides in Fayetteville North Carolina with her teenaged daughter Jasmine.

Jeannie Cobb is the author of Dark Roots

"After her mother’s death, Jeannie found herself for the first time in her life with what could have been another tragedy.  She became a layoff victim.  She used to opportunity to begin writing, and Dark Roots was born.  “Don’t tell me people don’t wonder if they could have survived a hundred years ago, because I know we all think about it.  Heck, sometimes I wonder how my parents lived in the 50’s with segregation still going on in some parts of the country!  I wanted to address that without going down the “historic” path.  To make the suffering of that time real to people now.”

About F.O.S.P.: The Fingertips of Success Program (F.O.S.P.) was founded in 2001 during the inception of Disilgold by Heather Covington.

HISTORY: F.O.S.P.'s mission became a reality on July 25th, 2005 as many authors convened at Bronxwood, dubbed as the new "Hollywood" in honor of the Emma C. Brisbane Youth Center where the event was held. A proclamation was honored to author Edith Holmes by Reverand David Johnson from the city of New York and her outstanding service to the Literary world through historical documentation of the south during the Civil Rights Era. Edith blessed Disilgold Soul Magazine by honoring a home in dedication of the Heather Covington Foundation in Atlanta where she resides. The legacy of Heather Covington's Mission still lives on as members of the YOUnity Reviwers Guild of America dedicate each day to reach at least one youth and make a difference in their lives.

MISSION:  The program brings  authors together from all around the nation committed to serving the advancement of education and literacy of youth through active involvement in their communities, as role models and donations through attendance of sales of books at events.

GOAL: It is our quest to record and document those who have supported the mission, and thus be granted more succes, longevity and support from the YOUnity Reviewers Guild at large.

How can we help a youth each day?

      1. Listen to their stories.

      2. Encourage them to read and write.

      3. Share stories  about history.

      4. Volunteer to tutor a child in need of support.

      5. Report your community service to the YOUnity Reviewers Guild of America.

Remember, you can help a youth by being a role model!Children see their future through the motivation each parent and/or teacher gives.
